Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent

  • Nashville, TN.
  • $18.75 an hour
  • Temp to Hire: This is a way for clients and talent to test the waters. It allows potential employees to prove themselves to the company and see if the culture is a good fit. Likewise, it allows the client to test the candidate for a certain period of time. During the contract period, the talent is employed by Wood Personnel Services.

Wood Personnel Service, in partnership with a Nashville benefit enrollment company, is looking for a Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent. The Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent will be responsible for delivering professional and educational assistance to employees calling in to enroll in their company’s benefit program.

Compensation for the Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent:

  • $18.75 an hour
  • 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Requirements of the Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent:

  • Minimum of HS diploma, college degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of insurance background or enroller experience
  • Health & life license in Resident State in good standing along with 1-3 years of enrollment experience thru an Enrollment firm
  • Employee Benefit Broker or worksite insurance carrier preferred
  • Benefits administration experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Multi-lingual skills considered a plus
  • Must have a good driving record & valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

Responsibilities of the Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent:

  • Accurately enroll employees in benefit programs of their choice and ensure the system accurately reflects elections
  • Provide guidance on benefit plan coverage and answer employee questions pertaining to their coverage
  • Must be professional at all times and present a demeanor over the phone which portrays confidence and knowledge of the products
  • Maintain performance standards as outlined in each case file
  • Reconcile daily reporting activity logs and Web results
  • Prepare service tickets on issues to be resolved and follow through to resolution
