Insurance Customer Service Representative

  • Nashville, TN.
  • $16.00 an hour
  • Temp to Hire: This is a way for clients and talent to test the waters. It allows potential employees to prove themselves to the company and see if the culture is a good fit. Likewise, it allows the client to test the candidate for a certain period of time. During the contract period, the talent is employed by Wood Personnel Services.

A West Nashville insurance company has an excellent opportunity for an Insurance Customer Service Representative who would be responsible for screening and printing client’s applications and corresponding forms, answer incoming new business client calls. This person will also enter client information into the system, prepare mail merges, post mail, send and respond to client emails.

Compensation for the Insurance Customer Service Representative:

  • $16.00 an hour (depending on experience/testing scores)
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements of the Insurance Customer Service Representative:

  • Be energetic and self-motivated
  • Have empathy and understand the importance of Life Insurance
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers
  • Be a problem solver and offer solutions while on the phone with the customer
  • Engage quickly with customers on an outbound call
  • Truly care about the work that they are doing
  • Must type 40 WPM

Responsibilities of the Insurance Customer Service Representative:

  • Assist with mail merges for applications as well as quotes- Match letters, labels, and applications and stuff envelopes.
  • Answer any voicemails or emails from clients directly sent to you or sent to the New Business email box, and assist them with their needs same day if the call is before 3pm, and before noon the follow day if the call or email is received after 3pm.
  • Answer New Business calls- asking clients quote information, application information or answering their questions.
  • Assist the new business department with other clerical tasks as needed
